Circular is the friendly geometric that powered a decade of consumer brands — round bowls warmed up with humanist details, licensed from a boutique foundry at boutique prices. Its warmth is the point; its cost and closed license are the constraint.

Futura's logic redrawn with a precision only smooth displays and vector processing made possible — and, like Futura, an inspiration to Cal Sans rather than a target. This preset accentuates those details through optical size, takes the open-aperture 6 and 9, and uses the simplified, entirely straight y.
Where ReCal Sans loses
Frankly: Circular's a is better than the one here, and I like it more. Copying it outright was not something I could sleep on, so this preset gets close and then stops.
Will it drop into a Circular layout?

At the same point size Circular feels a little smaller. Measured on the cap-height-normalized comparison, Circular runs about 5% shorter.
